You can join the safari using your preferred video streaming app - YouTube, Zoom, and more - on any internet-connected device, whether it’s a smart TV, tablet, computer, or phone.

After booking, we’ll send you a Welcome Pack via email, which includes:

– A private video link to the safari
– Information about the reserve
– An introduction to your expert safari guide

On the day of your safari, the live stream will be activated 10 minutes before it starts. Simply use the private link from your Welcome Pack to join. Communication with your guide—via text, voice, or video—will depend on your chosen streaming app.

Your safari takes place on the Rietspruit Private Game Reserve, a 6,000-hectare (14,800-acre) reserve nestled beneath the stunning Drakensberg Mountains in Limpopo, South Africa. Once a wild area that was converted into a cattle farm, Rietspruit has, in recent years, been restored to a wildlife reserve. It is now home to wild lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, wid dogs and many other beloved species!

There’s no limit to the number of guests you can invite, and each person or group will have their own link to communicate with the safari guide. Painteddog.tv offers exclusive live virtual safaris for groups ranging from 30 to 800 participants. Each safari lasts two hours and is scheduled to maximize wildlife viewing opportunities, ideally just after sunrise or before sunset (South African Standard Time). For corporate groups, we recommend using YouTube, as its text-based chat allows for smoother interaction between guests and the guide. If you prefer another platform, you will need to appoint a facilitator to manage questions and comments, which may reduce the level of interaction.
Once payment is received, we will provide a private link for you to share with your participants before the safari date. On the day of the safari, the feed will go live 10 minutes before the start time to help guests who may need assistance with the technology, setting the stage for your adventure. We can also support small breakout events to complement your virtual safari, ideal for additional team-building activities.
